MonViA is a nationwide monitoring of biological diversity on agricultural land. We record the status and changes in habitat diversity, organismal diversity and genetic diversity. We evaluate agricultural environmental policy measures and supplement the national biodiversity indicators with relevant indicators for agriculture.

The basic structure of monitoring consists of national trend monitoring and question-based monitoring on agricultural and regional issues. With the help of an integrative monitoring approach, citizen science-based monitoring approaches are integrated into the basic structure.
